Start with the zone, then check the specific space
Pafos Municipality runs a smart-parking system with five zones. Zone A covers the main car parks (Pervola, Karavella, the Municipal Market, the Tombs of the Kings area, Kennedy Square, SODAP beach, Apostolou Pavlou Avenue and the municipal pool). Zone B covers secondary car parks such as Leontiou, Mousallas, Apollonos, Salaminos, Dasoudi and China Park. Zone C is the main on-street parking in the centre (25 March Street, Thermopylon, Evagora Pallikaridi). Zone D is secondary residential streets. Zone E, which includes the Kato Pafos harbour car park (Limanaki) and Anapafseos, is free. Municipal zones and charges
Before leaving the car, match the sign or the location shown in the payment app to the actual bay. A street can include loading areas or spaces controlled by another operator, and a nearby free zone does not make every neighbouring space free.
Charges, hours and how to pay
Zone A (main car parks): EUR 1 per 2 hours. Zone B (secondary car parks): EUR 1 per 3 hours. Zone D (secondary streets): EUR 1 per 60 minutes. Zone E: free. The three municipal pages agree on these; Zone C is discussed below.
Charging applies from 06:00 to 00:00. Payment is through the municipality's parking app (card or prepaid e-wallet, billed per minute with a 30-minute minimum), by SMS to 9191, or with a bank card at the time of parking. Prices include VAT and there is no service fee. The municipality also sells 24-hour (EUR 5), 30-day and 365-day subscription cards. Smart parking help page
Zone C is the one figure the municipality publishes inconsistently: its English tariff page and its smart-parking help page say EUR 1 per 30 minutes, while its Greek tariff page says EUR 1 per 60 minutes (checked 13 October 2026). Budget EUR 2 per hour for central on-street bays and read the rate the app shows before you confirm.
A payment system's tariff, its operating hours and a car park's opening hours answer different questions. Check all three for an evening visit, and do not assume that a charging period proves unrestricted overnight access.
Choose for your destination and walking needs
For the old town, compare Pervola, Karavella and the Municipal Market against the exact place you want to reach. For the harbour, head for the listed Kato Pafos facility rather than following a general harbour pin into pedestrian streets.
This guide does not verify walking distances, entrance coordinates, current capacity or step-free routes. If access matters, ask about the route between an accessible bay and your destination, including kerbs and gradients. A published bay designation does not establish a fee exemption.
A quick parking routine
- Read the bay restrictions before paying.
- Confirm the zone or location code and enter the rental vehicle's registration accurately.
- Check the selected duration and any maximum stay.
- Keep the confirmation and note when the parking period expires.
- Check that extending a session is permitted rather than assuming another payment removes a maximum-stay restriction.
If payment fails, use the operator's help details rather than relying on an app screenshot of an unfinished transaction. Keep valuables out of sight and allow time to return to the vehicle without rushing.

The Paphos Airport rental guide covers collection, which is separate from city parking. Read the road rules before driving between towns. The Larnaca parking guide uses that municipality's own sources.
